Philipp Knechtel (born June 28, 1996 in Bernburg ) is a German football player in the position of central defense. He has been playing for VfB Krieschow since 2020

Career

In his youth Knechtel played for TV Askania Bernburg and 1. FC Magdeburg . In 2011 he came to FC Energie Cottbus, where he played for the U-17s and later for the A-Juniors. In July 2015 Knechtel received a professional contract from FC Energie Cottbus . Until 2016 he played mainly in the second team and then served as a reserve for the professional team. On December 5, 2015, he made his first third division appearance in the first team of FC Energie when he came on as a substitute on the 19th match day of the 2015/16 season after an injury to Uwe Möhrle . For the 2019/20 season Knechtel moved to VfB Germania Halberstadt . There he was only used in the reserve because he had to deal with various injuries. He has been playing for VfB Krieschow in the Oberliga Nordost / Süd since winter 2020 .
