Philipp Lieser (born November 17, 1989 in Bonn ) is a German basketball player. He has been under contract with the regional league club Baskets Wolmirstedt since 2018 .

career

Lieser grew up in Berlin and played in the youth department of the BG Zehlendorf . In 2006 he switched to ASC 1846 Göttingen , and in 2009 he joined BG Karlsruhe from the 2nd Bundesliga ProA .

Between 2010 and 2012 Lieser played at Central Washington University . He played a total of 37 games in the second division of the NCAA and scored an average of 3.1 points for the selection of the University of Ellensburg ( Washington state ).

In 2012, Lieser was signed by the Bundesliga club Mitteldeutscher BC . He was used in six first division games and recorded a total of six points, while he was mainly responsible for the partner clubs of the MBC, the BG Bitterfeld-Sandersdorf-Wolfen in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB and later for the Aschersleben Tigers BC in the 1st regional league, ran up.

In 2013 Lieser switched to the Dresden Titans  in the ProB and stayed in the Saxon city for three seasons. He held the office of team captain and contributed to reaching the playoff semi-finals in 2015/16.

In the run-up to the 2016/17 season, he was signed by the former Quakenbrück Bundesliga club Artland Dragons (now in the ProB). In the summer of 2018, he accepted an offer from Regionalliga newly promoted Baskets Wolmirstedt .
