Philipp Ludwig von Nagel zu Ittlingen ( December 1654 - March 26, 1712 ) was a canon in Münster .

Life

Philipp Ludwig von Nagel zu Ittlingen was born as the son of Ferdinand von Nagel zu Ittlingen and his wife Odilia Elisabeth von Westphalen . After attending grammar school in Münster, he studied at the Collegium Germanicum in Rome from 1673 to 1677 , received the minor orders and left the Collegium on September 23, 1677 as a subdeacon . Another study followed in Perugia . Philipp Ludwig had a long waiting period for a prebende and had already worked as a priest for seven years before he received the Münster prebende from the Pope . This became free through the death of Canon Christian von Plettenberg . After he had come into possession of the Oblegium Brirup and the Obedience Spiekerhof , he received the Archdeaconate Auf dem Drein on December 26, 1702 . The cathedral chapter elected him on July 24, 1699 as cathedral waiter's assessor.
