Philipp Plank (architect)
Philipp Plank (also: Blank) (* around 1660 in Kelheim ; † 1720 in Freising ) was a Franciscan brother, master mason and architect in the Baroque era .
Plank came from a family of builders . After joining the Franciscan order in Ingolstadt , he not only took on important building projects for his order, but also worked for other congregations .
His works include:
- 1695: Planning and construction of the Franciscan monastery in Berchtesgaden
- 1702: the Guardian Angel Church and the Franciscan Monastery in Straubing
- 1703: Franciscan convent in Schleissheim
- 1712–1714: Convent building of the Maria-Hilf monastery in Freystadt
- 1714–1716: Design and construction of the convent building of Weltenburg Abbey . Maybe also a draft of the church there.
- 1715–1717: New building of the Franciscan hospital in Neuötting
