Philipp Schack

Philipp Schack (born June 17, 1967 in Berlin ; † September 17, 2006 there ) was a German painter .

Life

Philipp Otto Schack was born in 1967 in Berlin as the son of the artist couple Rose Marie and Otto Schack. At the age of 16, Philipp Schack began evening studies at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee , which he continued there with a study of painting from 1989 to 1994 with Dieter Goltzsche and Wolfgang Peuker . From 1994 to 1995 he was a master student with Wolfgang Peuker. From 2001 he held a teaching position at the Schwerin Design School . Works by him can be found in large private and public collections in Germany, Luxembourg, France, Great Britain, Japan and the USA.

On September 17, 2006, Philipp Schack died in an accident in Berlin-Mitte. He was buried in the cemetery in Heckelberg-Brunow .

In 2007 the exhibition “The Third Face - Friends Remember the Painter Philipp Schack” took place in Berlin.
