Philipp Schor
Philipp Schor (also Filippo Schor ; * 1646 in Rome , † 1701 in Naples ) was an Austrian painter and architect.
Life
Philipp Schor comes from a well-known Tyrolean artist family, his father was Johann Paul Schor, who lives in Rome . In his studio he was initially a student and employee. He was particularly concerned with decorative painting and stage machinery and worked as an architect and court painter to Popes Clement X and Innocent XI. In Innsbruck he decorated the parish church of St. Jakob and the Mariahilfkirche with pictures. From 1683 to 1687 he created elaborate festival decorations in Naples on behalf of the Spanish viceroy Gaspar de Haro y Guzmán together with his student Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach . At the end of 1699 he worked at the court in Madrid .
