Philipp Yung
Philipp Yung (* 1753 in Vienna ; † February 11, 1823 in Leipzig ) was a scholar and from 1817 English lecturer at the University of Leipzig . He published an overview of Jewish scholars of all time.
Life
Yung came from Vienna and spent his youth in England . Together with George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen , he toured southern Germany. On his return he founded an educational institution in London .
In 1814 he came to Leipzig , where in 1817 he became an English lecturer at the University of Leipzig .
