Philippe Turlure

Philippe Turlure (born before 1967) is a production designer .

Life

Turlure began his career in film crew in 1967 as an assistant in the external prop for Jean-Pierre Melville's masterpiece Le Samouraï . After further assistance work, including The Clan of Sicilians and The Last Tango in Paris , he worked as a set designer from the early 1970s and worked on numerous large French film productions such as Killer do not introduce themselves with Alain Delon and The professional with Jean-Paul Belmondo .

For Alan Parker's Evita , a film adaptation of the musical of the same name , he was together with Brian Morris in 1997 for the Oscar in the category Best Art Direction nominated, but the award went this year to The English Patient .

He subsequently worked on a number of international productions such as The Man in the Iron Mask , The Perfume - The Story of a Murderer and The Pink Panther . Turlure rarely worked for television, one of the few exceptions was the mini-series Firestorm and Ashes in 1988.
