Buildings
Philippi Covered Bridge
The Philippi Covered Bridge is a historical, covered bridge, on which the two civil war parties also came together. Built in 1852, it has since been a victim of floods, fires and renovations. On February 2, 1989, the bridge was badly damaged in a fire and afterwards it was restored true to the original through extensive repair work. The Philippi Covered Bridge is the only bridge of its kind in the country that is part of a federal highway in the United States.
Barbour County Courthouse
