Two years later he returned to CSKA together with Kugryschew, in return Damir Schafjarow moved to Sibir.

After the 2017/18 season , Oschiganow decided to move to North America and signed an entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs from the National Hockey League (NHL) for one year in May 2018 . After playing 53 games for the Maple Leafs, he returned to his homeland after just one year when he signed a contract with Ak Bars Kazan from the KHL in mid-May 2019 .
