Dmitri Dmitrijewitsch Kugryschew ( Russian Дмитрий Дмитриевич Кугрышев ; born January 18, 1990 in Balakowo , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Salawat Julajew Ufa in the Continental Hockey League since May 2018 .
Career
Dmitri Kugryschew began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of HK CSKA Moscow , where he was active until 2008. He was then selected in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in the second round as the 58th player of the Washington Capitals . He then spent two seasons with the Remparts de Québec in the Canadian Junior League QMJHL . Especially in the 2008/09 season he was able to convince and he was elected to the all-rookie team of the QMJHL and the Canadian Hockey League . In the regular season, the winger was the rookie with the most goals and scorer points of the QMJHL, for which he received the Trophée Michel Bergeron as the best offensive rookie in the league. The Russian spent the 2010/11 season with Washington's farm team Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League , but could not prevail there. In 64 games he scored six goals and eight assists. He also played three games for the South Carolina Stingrays in the ECHL .
For the 2011/12 season Kugryschew returned to HK CSKA Moscow from the Continental Hockey League . On May 1, 2013 Kugryschew was exchanged together with Igor Oschiganow for Nikita Saizew from HK Sibir Novosibirsk . HK Sibir also received a financial compensation payment. Two years later he returned to CSKA together with Oschiganow, in return Damir Schafjarow moved to Sibir.
Further stations in the KHL were the HK Awangard Omsk and Salawat Julajew Ufa .
International
For Russia , Kugryschew took part in the U18 Junior World Championships in 2007 and 2008 and the U20 Junior World Championships in 2008 and 2009 . He and his team won a medal in all four tournaments - the gold medal at the 2007 U18 World Cup, the silver medal at the 2008 U18 World Championship and the bronze medal at the two U20 World Championships.
