Grigori Valerjewitsch Panin ( Russian: Григорий Валерьевич Панин ; born November 24, 1985 in Karagandy , Kazakh SSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Salawat Julajew Ufa in the Continental Hockey League since July 2017 .

Career

Grigori Panin began his career in 2003 with the Russian second division club ZSK WWS Samara . In 2004 the defender moved to HK Lada Tolyatti . With his current club Ak Bars Kazan , with which he has been under contract since 2008, the defender won the IIHF Continental Cup in 2008 and the KHL championship in 2009 and 2010 with the Gagarin Cup .

In the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons he lost his regular position in defense and was only used irregularly, so that his contract was no longer extended in 2014 and Panin moved to HK CSKA Moscow .

International

For Russia Panin took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2005 , in which he came to six missions and contributed one assist to the silver medal win of the Russian selection.
