The Phola Kyung is a mountain of Gangdise mountain chain in the Tibet Autonomous Region .

The Phola Kyung has a pyramidal shape. Its height is 6530  m (according to other sources 6500  m ). It is located in Zhongba County within the prefecture of Xigazê . The Phola Kyung is located 3.35 km southeast of the Loinbo Kangri in the glaciated part of a mountain range that extends in a northwest direction.

Ascent history

The Phola Kyung was first climbed on October 16, 2006 by Bruce Normand , Brian Alder and Erik Monasterio over the southeast face and the upper east ridge.
