The Pholhane biography ( Tib. Mi dbang rtogs brjod ) was written by Dokhar Tshering Wanggyel ( mdo mkhar ba tshe ring dbang rgyal ; 1697–1763), a close friend of Pholhanes ( pho lha nas ) - the "King of Tibet" - in the year Written in 1733. The Miwang ( mi dbang ) ruler Pholhane or Pholha Sönam Tobgye ( pho lha bsod nams stobs rgyal ; 1689–1747) was an important figure in Tibetan history. He was appointed chief administrator of Tibet by the Qing Dynasty Central Government .

The book has 19 chapters. With Pholhanes life story as a red thread, the process of entry of the West Mongolian tribe of the Khoshuud , beginning under Gushri Khan (1592-1654) in Tibet and the rise of this tribe to local power and important, the peoples of the Tibetans , Mongols , Manchu and Han is recorded -Chinese- related events in Tibet during the Shunzhi and Kangxi rule of the Qing Dynasty.

Pholhane's role in stabilizing the situation in Tibet and 'securing the unity of the fatherland' is examined using reports from contemporary witnesses.
