history

In 2006 the demo album Schon schön was recorded and distributed at concerts. In 2008 the debut album Ode an die Leude was published on flowfish.records. Winning the Lunatic Band Contest (2008), the Audience Award at the Youth Cultural Award in the category of pop music (2008) and the profit of rock days at The Sound Berlin promoted the popularity of the band. For professional reasons, drummer Tom Tomtom left the band in 2009 and was replaced by Martin Renner (* 1984).

The band received funding from the Initiative Musik twice with project funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media . Without a major record deal, the band made it into public broadcasting. By DASDING was Andreas "Bear" Läsker attention to Phrasenmäher and the group took in early 2010 under contract. In addition, the band was able to win Four Artists as a new booking agency. In early 2010 the band made it to number 2 on the Dasding charts.

In 2010 and 2011 around 150 club and festival concerts were played all over Germany. In December 2011, phrase mowers were there to support the Fantastischen Vier's "Für dich noch Fanta Sie" tour. This not only took her to German cities such as Stuttgart, Leipzig or Düsseldorf, but also to Vienna for the first time.

On April 20, 2012, the live album Live Zu Understand was released . The material for the live double CD was recorded during two concerts in Hildesheim in January 2012.

According to the Guinness Book of Records , the long version of the song "Two Years in", published on January 10, 2014, held the world record for the longest officially published song until October 24, 2014 with a running time of 90 minutes and 10 seconds.

After 13 years of band history, the band broke up for an indefinite period after the acoustic tour for the album Wir would then be so far . You don't want to promise whether they will find each other again.
