Pier Ludovico Pavoni

Pier Ludovico Pavoni (born April 25, 1926 in Rome ) is an Italian cameraman , film producer and director .

Life

Pavoni graduated from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in camera work in 1948 and worked as a documentary filmmaker alongside Mario Craveri and Leonida Barboni . After a short time as camera assistant, he worked as head cameraman from 1952 when he photographed the episode of Eduardo De Filippo for the suitcase film Marito e moglie . Until 1965 he was regularly and numerous, until 1989 he was still active in this function for selected productions. Among other things, he photographed a considerable number of sandal films . He also worked as a producer for the production company “Dear” between 1960 and 1971 and directed three films himself in the mid-1970s (two based on his own scripts), which were successful and carefully made.

In 1959 Pavoni received a silver ribbon for photography from La muraglia cinese . Three years earlier he had received the award for the best photography for Un po 'di cielo at the San Sebastian Film Festival .
