Pierluigi Balducci

Pierluigi Balducci (born October 3, 1971 in Bari ) is an Italian jazz musician ( electric bass , double bass , composition).

Live and act

Balducci first learned classical guitar before switching to bass guitar. In the 1990s he became known with the world music band Tavernanova , with whom he recorded two albums. Then he led his own groups and worked with Roberto Ottaviano , Luciano Biondini and Javier Girotto , but also with Ernst Reijseger , Gabriele Mirabassi , Michele Rabbia , Paul McCandless and John Taylor . Together with the guitarist Pasquale Stafano and the bandoneon player Gianni Iorio, he has been part of the Nuevo Tango Ensamble since 1999 , with which several albums have been created. He has also recorded with Nicola Conte , Antonio Tosques, Marchio Bossa, Pierluigi Villani and Alex Milella.

He also composed the music for the feature film My Sister (2001) by Catherine Breillat .
