Pierre Bernard (* 1959 in Léopoldville ) is a Belgian jazz musician ( flutist ) who has made a name for himself in both modern jazz and classical music.

As a teenager, Bernard first learned to play the guitar before switching to the flute. He had lessons at the Huy Music Academy, from 1978 he attended the Conservatory in Liège, where he studied improvisation with Garrett List and chamber music with Jean-Pierre Peuvion; In addition, he played both jazz and classical music in the Liège music scene. In the 1980s, Bernard was a member of the Collectif de Lion , in the Streams quartet (with Fabrizio Cassol , Michel Massot , Vincent Jacquemin ) and in the formation Synonyms , as well as in the chamber music ensemble Musique Nouvelle .
