Pierre Gignoux

Pierre Gignoux (born May 19, 1967 in Grenoble ) is a French ski mountaineer . In addition to ski mountaineering, he goes mountaineering and cross-country skiing , flies paragliders , rides racing bikes and mountain bikes .

Successes (selection)

In 1994 he completed his first competition by participating in the Trans Mont Blanc and has been a member of the French national ski mountaineering team since 1995 . At the European Ski Mountaineering Championships in 1999 he was teamed with Francis Bibollet and at the European Ski Mountaineering Championships in 2001 with Stéphane Brosse . At the World Ski Mountaineering Championships in 2002 , he achieved fifth place in a team with Stéphane Brosse. At the European Ski Mountaineering Championships in 2003 , he was able to achieve fourth place in the team with Brosse. He also won the Transcavallo with Brosse in 2004 . With Alexandre Pellicier he achieved 8th place in the team at the 2006 World Ski Mountaineering Championships . Together with Stéphane Brosse, who is also a member of the French national ski mountaineering he holds since May 30, 2003 record for climbing including departure on Mont Blanc with a total time of 5 h  15 '  47 " , of which about 4 hours and 7 minutes for the ascent and 1 hour and 7 minutes for the subsequent ski descent.Among other things, he was three times European champion in ski mountaineering and achieved first place in a race as part of the World Cup in 2004.
