Pierre Nguyên Soan

Pierre Nguyên Soan ( Vietnamese : Phêrô Nguyễn Soan ; born December 15, 1936 in Goi Thi ) is a Vietnamese clergyman and former bishop of Qui Nhơn .

Life

Pierre Nguyên Soan was ordained a priest on December 21, 1968 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Qui Nhơn diocese . Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Quy Nhơn on June 3, 1999.

The Archbishop of Huế , Etienne Nguyên Nhu Thê , donated him episcopal ordination on August 12 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Pierre Nguyên Van Nho , coadjutor bishop of Nha Trang , and Paul Huynh Dông Các , former bishop of Qui Nhơn.

On June 30, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
