Piet Deenen
Piet Deenen (born March 21, 1940 in Oploo , Netherlands ) is a former Dutch cyclist .
Athletic career
Piet Deenen was only active as an amateur in his short cycling career.
Deenen, who lives in the small town of Vlijmen in North Brabant , celebrated his greatest successes in the three-country stage race International Peace Tour in 1965 . After he had already achieved third place on the 12th stage, he ensured the sixth stage win in the history of the Dutch peace race on the 146-kilometer 14th stage from Posen to Toruń when he was able to outrun the peloton by eleven seconds at the finish. In the final ranking, Deenen came in 47th as the second best Dutchman.
In 1965 Piet Deenen won two Dutch cycling races in front of his own audience. Immediately after the peace ride, he won the first stage of the Olympia's Tour , and he also won the road criterion in his home town of Oploo. In another criterion in 1966 in German hair , he took third place.

Piet Deenen now lives in the small Dutch community of Bladel .
