Pietro De Marchi

Pietro De Marchi (born May 30, 1958 in Seregno ) is an Italian literary scholar and poet.

Life

Pietro De Marchi studied literature at the University of Milan and received his doctorate in 1992 under Ottavio Besomi at the University of Zurich . In 2004 he received his habilitation there for Italian literary studies. Since 2006 he has been professeur associé for Italian literature at the University of Neuchâtel and since 2011 adjunct professor for Italian literature at the University of Zurich.

Between 2006 and 2011, De Marchi was a member of the Pro Helvetia Advisory Board .

In 2007 he received a sponsorship award from the Swiss Schiller Foundation for the volume of poetry Replica , and in 2016, before the book was even published, he received the Gottfried Keller Prize for La carta delle arance .
