The Pik Nansen ( Russian Пик Нансена ) is a 5697 m high mountain in the Tian Shan Mountains in eastern Kyrgyzstan near the border with Xinjiang ( PR China ).
The second highest mountain in the Engiltschek chain after Schokalskowo peak was named after Fridtjof Nansen .
The southern Engiltschek glacier ends north of Pik Nansen and is around 60 kilometers long, one of the largest glaciers outside the polar regions. In the south of the mountain is the Kaindy Glacier . Around 14.4 kilometers to the west is the peak of Alexander von Humboldt , which was climbed and named in 2003 .
