Pik (Vladimir) Putin is a 4446  m high mountain in the west of the Tien Shan Mountains in Kyrgyzstan .

The previously unnamed mountain was named after Vladimir Putin on February 17, 2011 at the suggestion of Prime Minister Almasbek Atambayev by resolution of the Kyrgyz unicameral parliament, Jogorku Kengesch . Previously, a law had been changed that prohibited naming after living people.

Putin Peak is located about 50 kilometers south of the state capital Bishkek in the Chuja region in the Alatau Mountains.

In Kyrgyzstan, there are already in Terskey Alatau the spades Yeltsin ( 5216  m ) and on the border with Tajikistan to since 1928 so named Lenin Peak ( 7134  m ).
