Piotr Kobza (born May 28, 1989 ) is a former Polish natural track luge . During two seasons he took part in three World Cup races in single and double-seater and started at the 2006 European Championship . Together with Adam Jędrzejko he was three times Polish runner-up in the two-seater.

Career

Piotr Kobza took part in international competitions in the 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 seasons and competed in national championships until 2007. At the end of the 2004/2005 season he contested his first World Cup races at the finals in Olang and achieved 30th place in the single-seater and, together with Adam Jędrzejko, who was two years older, ninth place in the double-seater. A week later he took part in the Junior European Championships 2005 in Kandalakscha , where he was 24th in the singles and with Jędrzejko sixth in the doubles.

In the 2005/2006 season Kobza competed two World Cup races in single and double, again with Adam Jędrzejko. In the single-seater he achieved placings in midfield with 24th place in Olang and 22nd place in Oberperfuss , in the doubles he came in twelfth place in Olang and seventh place in the final in Oberperfuss but only among the last three. In the overall single-seater World Cup he was 36th out of a total of 57 tobogganists who won World Cup points this winter, and eleventh out of 16 pairs of two-seater pairs in the overall double-seater World Cup. Kobza also took part in the 2006 European Championships in Umhausen , where he was 35th in singles and eleventh in doubles. At the Junior World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2006 , he achieved 27th place in the singles and fifth in the doubles.

At the Polish Championships Piotr Kobza reached with Adam Jędrzejko after a third place in 2004 from 2005 to 2007 three times in a row the second place in the doubles, each behind Andrzej Laszczak and Damian Waniczek . He never made it into the top three in the single-seater.
