The Pipe Peak (English for Pfeifenspitze ) is a 1720 m high and ridge-like mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Founders Peaks of the Heritage Range in the Ellsworth Mountains, it rises 2.5 km north of Matney Peak .
A team of geologists from the University of Minnesota who worked in the area between 1963 and 1964 named him because they left a tobacco pipe here in memory of their visit .
