Piranha (Alternative title: Piranha - The River of Death , Original Title: Piranha Piranha ) is a 1972 adventure film by director Bill Gibson with William Smith in the lead role.

The photographer Terry flies with her brother Arthur to Venezuela , where Terry wants to take animal and landscape photos in the jungle. Jim Pendrake is supposed to lead them through the jungle. From Caracas they ride motorbikes to Guiana , where they meet the hunter Caribe. While Arthur and Jim are on their way to a diamond mine, Caribe rapes Terry. When Arthur finds out, he looks for Caribe. When he finds him, he stabs him with a machete. Later there is a fight between Caribe and Jim and when Jim is already on the ground and Caribe takes out his machete, Terry shoots him.
