Pit Witt
Pit Witt (* 19th March 1959 in Münster , actually Peter Witt ) is a German jazz - musicians .
He studied classical piano at Detmold University . He completed his jazz studies a. a. at Greetje Kauffeld and Deborah Brown in Hilversum ( Netherlands ). He wrote several stage music for theater and ballet , film music and children's musicals . Since 1980 he has worked as a teacher at the Minden City Music School, among other things . Since 1989 he has directed the Minden Jazz Choir, which he founded. Further work as a musical director in the context of various musical projects such as Der kleine Horrorladen , Im Weißen Rößl , Teut 'Abend, I choose something .
Witt composed the children's musical Where Nobody Alone and also wrote the music for the film Im Westen alles nach Plan (1990). Since 2008 he has been leading the Minden Children's Choir together with his colleague Regina Heese .
