The Piz Bacun (also Piz Bacone ) is a 3244  m above sea level. M. high granite mountain in the southern Bergeller mountains in the south of the canton of Graubünden . The mountain is located north on the ridge between Lake Albigna and Forno Glacier .

Routes and climbs

The first ascent took place in 1883 by Theodor Curtius with mountain guides Christian Klucker and Johann Eggenberger.

The normal route leads with climbing difficulty III over the east ridge to the summit, the ascent to the east ridge is alternatively possible from the Albignahütte or the Forno hut , both variants are specified with about 5 hours.

Further climbs are possible via the north ridge (difficulty III-), the south ridge (difficulty IV), as well as other less traveled routes.
