The Albignasee or Lägh da l'Albigna (in Bergell dialect) is a reservoir in the Swiss municipality of Bregaglia (near Vicosoprano ) in the canton of Graubünden . The lake is 2162 meters above sea level and has a maximum depth of 108 m. The dam was completed in 1959.
The reservoir can be reached from Bergell . From the hamlet of Pranzaira you can visit the reservoir with a cable car, or you can climb the approx. 1000 meters on foot.
The lake is embedded between the Pizzo di Zocca (3173 m above sea level), Piz dal Päl (2617 m above sea level), the Punta da l'Albigna (2823 m above sea level) and the Piz Cacciabella (2979 m above sea level) m above sea level). In the south of the lake the Albigna glacier used to reach the shore.
