The Piz Cristallina is a peak in the massif of the Medelser group in the Adula Alps in Switzerland with a height of 3128.1  m above sea level. M. he rises Like the other summit of Medelsermassivs only slightly over the territory of Glatscher da Medel , on the southwest corner he stands. The main (western) summit used to be called Piz Pozata. The eastern secondary peak is not named according to the topographic map and SAC area guide.

First ascent

According to various sources, the Piz Cristallina was climbed by the Disentis "mountaineer monk" Placidus a Spescha in 1782, which means that this was one of his first summits. The ascent route corresponded roughly to the route given below from Pardatsch through the Val Cristallina.

  • Medelserhütte - Glatscher da Medel - Fuorcla Cristallina - Piz Cristallina (L, 3.25h)
  • Pardatsch on Lukmanierstrasse - Val Cristallina - Piz Pian - Fuorcla Puzzetta - Piz Cristallina (without contact with the glacier, L, 5.25h)

National park

The Piz Cristallina is to become part of the planned Parc Adula . The summit would be part of the park's core zone.
