The Piz Vizan is the easternmost sub-peak of the ridge in the Splügen Limestone Mountains , which extends from Piz Cufercal in the Swiss canton of Graubünden into the Schams valley. The mountain lies on the border of the two Schamser communities Andeer and Casti-Wergenstein .
Characteristic
The Piz Vizan belongs to a ridge that stretches from the Cufercalhorn via Piz Calandari to the east and its easternmost peak. North of the Piz Vizan the dewatered Fundogn an area to Bruschghorn ranges. The Maiensäss Promischur lies on its eastern flank , to the south there is a plateau with the Lai da Vons and from there you can reach the mountain hut in this area, the Cufercalhütte , in a north-easterly direction .
