history
The Plannerhütte was built in 1908 by the "Alpinen Gesellschaft D 'Reichensteiner" - a society that was constituted in Vienna in 1898 and named after the Admonter Reichenstein - as the first building on the Planneralm. In 1928 the company, which later became a section of the Alpine Club , built a new one about a hundred meters above the old refuge, which was expanded in 1932 and was the largest and most modern of its kind at the time of the Ostmark. In 1946 it burned down with the "Leitnerhütte" due to unexplained circumstances. In 1948 the Reichenstein Section came together again and repaired the dilapidated Plannerhütte, which was built in 1908.
