The Pljussa ( Russian Плю́сса, Плюса ) is a right tributary of the Narva in the Russian oblasts of Leningrad and Pskow .
The Pljussa has its origin in the 2.6 km² large lake Sapljusskoje in the Pskow Oblast. It flows in a predominantly north-northwest direction through Leningrad Oblast and finally flows into the Narva Reservoir .
The Pljussa has a length of 281 km. It drains an area of 6550 km². It is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge is 50 m³ / s. The Pljussa freezes in November / December. At the end of March / beginning of April it is ice-free again. The small urban-type settlement of Pljussa is located on the upper reaches of the river. The largest city on the river is Slanzy .
