The Poggenburger Leide is an approximately 3.5 km long depression in the municipality of Wangerland in the district of Friesland in the north of Lower Saxony .

The 4 m wide watercourse in Jeverland , through which inland water ultimately flows into the North Sea , emerges from the Kopperburger Leide coming from Hohenkirchen . It then continues to flow in a northeasterly direction. In the testis Pogge Burger sorrow and unite Bübbenser low to high depth . This flows through St. Joost and then flows into the Wangertief , which finally flows into the North Sea at Horumersiel .

In earlier times the low was mainly used for drainage and as a traffic route, today it is also used for recreational sports such as paddling and fishing .
