The Pogynden ( Russian Погынден ) is a right tributary of the Little Anjui in the Chukchi Autonomous Okrug in the north of Eastern Siberia .
The Pogynden rises in the Rautschuagebirge . It flows through the mountain region in a predominantly westerly direction. In the lower reaches it turns to the south-southwest and finally reaches the Little Anjui.
The Pogynden has a length of 297 km (other sources give a length of 281 km). It drains an area of 13,100 km². The river is fed by snowmelt and precipitation . An average discharge of 75 m³ / s was measured 62 km above the mouth. From December to April the Pogynden freezes to the bottom.
In the catchment area of the Pogynden there are gold deposits .
About 60 km above the estuary, a 200 m long reinforced concrete bridge ( ⊙ ) was built over the Pogynden in 2012 . The road from Bilibino to Anjuisk crosses the bridge .
