The Point Disappointment (from English disappointment 'disappointment' ) is a headland on the Scott coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies at the foot of the Kar plateau south of the Dreikanter Head and protrudes into the Granite Harbor .
A team of geologists led by Thomas Griffith Taylor (1880-1963) named him during the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) of the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . The further naming background has not been passed down.
