Pointe de Penhir
The Pointe de Penhir (also called Pen-Hir; Bret. Beg Penn Hir ) is a rocky cape on the Crozon Peninsula in the Finistère department in Brittany . It belongs to the territory of the municipality of Camaret-sur-Mer .
The rocks are so rugged that alpinists practice mountaineering there. In the run-up are Les Tas de Pois , the pea islands. From the Pointe de Penhir you have a wonderful view of the other capes of the Crozon peninsula ( Pointe de Dinan , Cap de la Chèvre and Pointe des Espagnols ) as well as in the distance on Cap Sizun with the Pointe du Van , the Pointe du Raz and the Baie des Trépassés . On the way are the alignments of Lagat-Jar , where almost 150 menhirs made of white quartzite have been set up.
