Born in a Sydney borough, Polias began with the 2008 Central Coast Mariners women's team in a northern suburb of Sydney. The team played in the newly founded W-League for two years , but then stopped playing for financial reasons. Polias then moved to Sydney FC . At the end of the league round Sydney was in first place and then also reached the Grand Final against Brisbane Roar, but lost it 2-1. The following season both met in the semifinals. Sydney led 1-0 up to the 90th minute, then Brisbane managed to equalize and Sydney also lost Kyah Simon to a yellow-red card . Outnumbered, they survived the 30 minutes of extra time, but since the score was still 1: 1, the penalty shoot-out had to decide. Polias and a teammate, as well as a player from Brisbane, were the only shooters and their teams to fail and Sydney missed the Grand Final. Sydney then reached the Grand Final again in 2013 when she played every minute of every game, this time against Melbourne Victory and this time won. A year later Melbourne was able to retaliate in the semi-finals and Sydney with a 3-2 refused to make it to the final. And the following year was the final stop in the semifinals, this time against Perth Glory . It was not until 2019 that the final could be won again, with a 4-2 win over Perth Glory. She was the captain of her team and never missed a minute.

National teams

On August 4, 2007 she was used against Hong Kong for the first time in the national team. But she was not nominated for the 2007 World Cup , which took place a month later . Until the 2014 Asian women's soccer championship , for which she was nominated again, she only played one more international match. In the championship, in which Australia could not defend the title, it was only used in the second group game against Jordan.

In March 2015 she took part with Australia in the Cyprus Cup 2015 , where she started in the 1-0 win against the Netherlands, 3-0 against Finland and 6-2 in the game for fifth place against the Czech Republic. On May 12, 2015 she was nominated for the 2015 Australian World Cup squad . But it was not used at the World Cup. She was not nominated for the 2016 Olympic Games and the 2018 Asian Cup. In January 2019 she was nominated for the Cup of Nations . It was also used there in the 2-0 win against New Zealand . After that it was not taken into account again.
