history

In 1783 the colonist village was founded by the Brandenburg Ballei of the Order of St. John after the Warthebruch had been drained. Lord Master of the order was Prince August Ferdinand , the brother of King Frederick the Great . The place was called Pensylvania in appreciation of the North American struggle for independence . Initially 23 colonist families settled down. The village initially belonged to the parish in Limmritz, and from 1820 to Woxfelde.

In 1945 the village came to Poland.
