Polne (German Pensylvanien ) is a village in the rural municipality Słońsk in the powiat Sulęcin in the Polish Lubusz voivodeship . In 2011 there were 78 residents.
geography
Polne is located south of the Warta , 18 kilometers from Ośno Lubuskie (Drossen) and Kostrzyn (Küstrin) and 25 kilometers from Gorzów (Landsberg / Warthe). It is located in the historical territory of Neumark .
history
In 1783 the colonist village was founded by the Brandenburg Ballei of the Order of St. John after the Warthebruch had been drained. Lord Master of the order was Prince August Ferdinand , the brother of King Frederick the Great . The place was called Pensylvania in appreciation of the North American struggle for independence . Initially 23 colonist families settled down. The village initially belonged to the parish in Limmritz, and from 1820 to Woxfelde.
In 1945 the village came to Poland.
