history

The chapel was built in 1837. It was restored in 1981 and re-inaugurated on October 12, 1982.

Architecture and equipment

The small one-bay chapel building has a slightly drawn-in, straight-closing choir . The church tower is built on the north side of the choir, with arched sound windows and a pointed gable helmet . The choir grille dates from the time it was built and is equipped with a richly decorated arched field. The flat vaulted choir is characterized by vault painting with an illusionistic frame.

The interior of the chapel is equipped with a flat dome on corner pilasters . On the gable facade is the mural depicting Jesus saying goodbye to his mother . It is to be assigned to the building time. Anton Krömer created the main ceiling painting, the Descent from the Cross , in 1839. The four evangelists with their symbols are located in the four ceiling spandrels .
