The high baroque church was built in 1729 instead of a late Gothic previous building. A one-bay, three-sided choir, a mighty north tower with a baroque top and the two-storey sacristy are connected to the four-bay nave. The sundial on the nave was created by Peter Anich around 1750 . The interior is structured with a needle cap barrel and pilasters and adorned with rich foliage and bandwork stucco (around 1730). The ceiling frescoes, u. a. with scenes from the life of St. Margaretha, were painted by Franz Altmutter at the end of the 18th century . The baptistery (former Katharinenkapelle) with groin vault is located on the first floor of the tower. The cemetery around the church was laid out in 1729 and expanded in 1954. It houses a cemetery cross as well as six baroque niche shrines and a war memorial chapel from 1954.
