The residence was built around 1480 by Peter Ruml, Councilor of Emperor Maximilian , as a hunting lodge with five fish ponds. His son-in-law Blasius Hölzl had the complex extended by a wing, so that a courtyard was created. The subsequent owners were the Voland von Tierburg (from 1543), the Botsch (from 1587) and Matthias Burglechner (1604–1642). The Weinhart family had some modifications carried out and the coat of arms tower was built in 1674. In 1836 the residence came to the Sternbach , in 1932 to the Liphart. The two-storey assembly with an irregular floor plan consists of individual parts separated from each other by steep pitched roofs. In the north there is a small gate tower with a painted owner's coat of arms and a marble inscription cartouche. The south wing has a late Gothic beveled pointed arch portal and the original late Gothic roof structure. Inside, valuable construction and equipment details such as vaults and a paneled room with rich rocailles have been preserved.
