The large baroque church was built in 1775–1778 in place of a previous Gothic building. To the east of the two-bay nave with retracted choir is the narrower, former choir of the previous building, which is now used as a sacristy. The north tower, also from the Gothic building, was provided with an octagonal structure, double onion helmet and lantern. The nave has arched portals on the west, north and south sides and articulated, classical facade paintings. The interior is provided with a square vault over wall pillars with pilasters and surrounding entablature, the ceiling paintings by Franz Anton Zeiller from 1778 show scenes from the life of the Virgin.
