The list of listed objects in Thaur contains the 34 listed , immovable objects of the Tyrolean municipality of Thaur .

The church, which originally belonged to the bishopric of Augsburg, is one of the oldest sacred buildings in Austria. The first construction phase was in the 9th / 10th. The church was rebuilt in the 13th and 15th centuries, the second before 1232. The simple three-axis hall church has a pointed roof, a detached semicircular apse and a massive west tower to which the Ulrichhof adjoins. On the south side there is a Gothic fluted round arch portal. The interior has a 16th century coffered ceiling and a wooden west gallery. In the apse there is a late Gothic painting, on the south wall a depiction of a grim reaper (both from the 15th century), the window reveals are decorated with Romanesque leaf ornaments.

The Ulrichhof was first mentioned in a document in 1316 as the Meierhof of the Hochstift Augsburg . The mighty three-storey building with a rectangular floor plan with a half-hipped roof and regular facade structure is attached to the west side of the Ulrichskirche . Numerous structural details have been preserved inside and out, including windows with covings, corner chains and a continuous hallway with groin vaults. On the north and south side there are baroque frescoes depicting the veneration of the Mariahilf image and St. Ulrich. The building is surrounded by a wall with an Afra chapel integrated into the southwest corner.

The core of the mighty two-storey central courtyard dates from the second half of the 16th century. The residential part and the subsequently extended service wing are bricked and provided with a rich gable from 1931. In the middle of the east facade is the round-arched tennis gate with beveled walls. Numerous Gothic building details have been preserved inside.

The wayside shrines are part of the local pilgrimage site Maria Loreto in Thaur , founded by Archduke Ferdinand II at the end of the 16th century . A total of 15 wayside shrines made of brecciated stones line the historic route from Innsbruck to Thaur along today's main road . The statues stand on a base, they have a chamfered shaft and a square tabernacle housing in which there are panels painted on Eternit . The panels were redesigned in the 20th century by well-known Tyrolean artists with depictions of the secrets of the rosary .

The wayside shrines 9 to 13 are in the municipality of Thaur:

In the course of the four-lane expansion of the B171 from 2009 to 2011, the wayside shrines were dismantled, they are to be restored and put up again in coordination with the Federal Monuments Office.

The neo-Gothic, single-bay, open chapel with a steep tent roof, brick turret, three-sided choir, ogival windows and strong buttresses was built around 1900. The grooved pointed arch portal is closed with a wrought iron grille. Inside is a baroque altarpiece of St. Anthony of Padua.

The slender late Gothic statue column with a round granite plate, Nagelfluh column and slightly protruding cube-shaped attachment with a shingle-covered tent roof was erected around 1600. In the niches there are panels of St. Ulrich, Nikolaus, Romedius and Johannes Nepomuk by Anton Tiefenthaler from 1965.

The former home of the Thaur clerk was built around 1600. On the east facade there is a wide beveled round arch portal with a baroque wooden door and a three-sided, profiled polygonal bay with depictions of the Annunciation, Adoration of the Shepherds and the Flight to Egypt from the beginning of the 20th century on the parapet. Inside, Gothic and Baroque building details have been preserved. The building is surrounded by an enclosure wall, in front of the facade is an equestrian stone from 1632.

The mighty three-storey inn on the village square dates back to the 16th century. Despite extensive renovations and extensions, interesting building details have been preserved on the outside (bay window, stone walls) and inside (Gothic vault). On the eastern gable facade there is a wall painting Maria im Baum with a ceramic relief by Siegfried Obleitner from 1996 and a family coat of arms from 1672.

The new cemetery was created around 1955 north of the parish church. It says Romed Speckbacher d. J. created war memorial with a stone sculpture of St. Romedius and tablets with the names of the fallen of both world wars. In the surrounding wall there is a chapel shrine with the depiction of the risen man by Romed Speckbacher from 1988.

The church was first mentioned in a document in 1244. The building, which is essentially Gothic, was redesigned in Baroque style by Johann Michael Umhauser around 1766. A lower retracted choir adjoins the four-bay, single-nave nave. The lower part of the north tower is late Gothic, the octagonal top is closed by an onion dome from the 17th century. The interior is structured with pillars with rococo stucco and a stitch cap vault. The baroque ceiling painting by Christoph Anton Mayr was removed in 1878/1880 and replaced by frescoes by Franz Xaver Pernlochner . The nativity scene was created by Johann Giner the Elder around 1800. The cemetery, which is enclosed by a wall, surrounds the parish church and contains the cemetery chapel from 1773 and a baroque cross.

The brick-built two-storey building with a flat gable roof essentially dates from the 16th century. The facade is structured by a four-sided corner bay window with multi-profiled cornices; inside, structural details such as vaults have been preserved. The Widum is surrounded by an enclosure wall into which a Notburga shrine is integrated.

The building from the 16th century is attached directly to the eastern wall of the cemetery. It served as a parish dedication until 1652, in 1704 it was divided into two halves and in 1856 beneficiary apartment of the St. Vigil Foundation. The two-storey building has a gable roof and a narrow gable facade with a balcony in the gable. On the east side there is a round arch portal with lunette grille and wooden door.

The slender statue from the 16th century consists of Nagelfluh. It has an obliquely fluted base, an eight-sided shaft and a tabernacle-shaped top with a final cross. In the top niches, sheet metal panels with depictions of St. Blasius and Romedius as well as Johannes and Paul from the 18th century.

The statue fell victim to several accidents and was for a long time at the municipal building yard.

The mansion, located on a hill at the edge of the forest, was first mentioned in a document in 1483 and at the beginning of the 17th century it was converted into a summer residence for the Hall Jesuits and added a bel étage with high windows; it has been in the family since 1784. The three-storey early baroque building with a steep hipped roof extends back to the late Gothic. Inside there are magnificent rooms, including a hall with a stucco ceiling, a baroque house chapel and a Gothic plank-beam ceiling from the 16th century.

There are seven Stations of the Cross chapels on the way from Thaur to Romedikirchl . The brick wayside shrines with deep round arch niches and a gable roof were built around 1870. In the niches there are glazed clay reliefs with two stations of the cross each, which Romed Speckbacher the Elder made in 1976/77. J. were created.

The castle complex above Thaur was in the second half of the 12th century by the Andechsern built in the 15th century under Emperor I. Maximilian expanded. The castle began to fall into disrepair as early as the 16th century, and the tower collapsed around 1664. Only a few remains of the wall with unusually carefully and regularly layered masonry have survived from the extensive complex, including the free-standing stump of a tower, a roundabout, remains of the circular wall and a kennel.

The church, located on a hill above the village, near the Thaur Castle , was built in 1779 instead of a Romanesque double chapel. The two- bay rococo building has a drawn-in front bay, a drawn-in apse and an east tower. The interior is decorated with Rococo stucco work and frescoes by Franz Xaver and Joseph Giner from the time it was built. To the east is the two-storey former Hermitage . The lower room has a Gothic vault, the upper floor today houses the sacristy.

The wayside shrine is part of the Way of the Cross from Thaur to Romedikirchl . The brick wayside shrine on a breccia plinth has a deep, barrel-vaulted round arched niche that is closed with a simple wrought iron grille. In the niche there is a colored, carved Pietà from the 19th century.

The chapel located on a hilltop is part of the Way of the Cross from Thaur to Romedikirchl . The eight-sided open central building from the end of the 19th century is covered with a curved tent roof. Five sides have blind arches , three sides open arches. The main axis, oriented to the north, is emphasized like a risalit by a gable. The ceiling is a painted wooden structure with a central rosette and template ornaments. In the arched niche there is a sculptural group of crucifixions from the time of construction, in the background there is a painted view of Jerusalem.

The so-called dungeon chapel is part of the Way of the Cross from Thaur to Romedikirchl . The crenellated brick niche shrine from the 19th century has a deep, barrel-vaulted round arch niche that is closed with a wrought iron grille. In the niche there is a baroque clad carved figure of the kneeling Man of Sorrows .

The Holy Sepulcher is part of the Way of the Cross from Thaur to the Romedikirchl . The complex consists of the grave niche carved into the rock with a figure of Christ by Johann Baptist Pendl from the beginning of the 19th century, flanked by two arched niches with board figures of the prophets Daniel and Jeremias by Franz Pernlocher from 1968, as well as two Roman guards and angels from the beginning of the 20th century. In front of it there is a baroque, backdrop-shaped garden architecture with stone pillars and iron bars.

The two-storey building on the eaves side with a gable roof and a simple fret gable on the south side essentially dates from the 16th century. It originally served as a courthouse and as a schoolhouse from 1897 to 1950. Since 1978/1980 it has been part of the Thaurer Kulturhaus with community hall and library. Numerous Gothic building details have been preserved outside and inside, including a Gothic stone portal with a donkey's back, two three-sided bay windows, a four-sided corner bay window and vestments. On the facade there are wall paintings with Mariahilf picture and two medallions with St. Ignatius von Loyola and Franz Xaver from around 1800, which were transferred from a demolished courtyard.

The early baroque church was built in 1643 in Gothic style. It has a three-bay, steep-gable nave with a strongly offset three-sided choir closure, an attached sacristy and a slender north tower with an eight-sided top and onion dome. The flat-roofed interior with a retracted choir and a rounded triumphal arch is decorated with ceiling paintings and stucco from the 17th century. On the walls of the nave there are murals of the fourteen emergency helpers from the 18th century. Two bells from the bell-maker Löffler from 1490 and 1570 are remarkable .

The portal system, which spans the way from Thaur to Romedikirchl , forms the end of the Way of the Cross to the church. The brick, richly structured archway was built in 1872. It is a typical neo-Gothic building with battlements, buttresses and a wide, arched passage. On the west side of the central battlement there is a relief representation of the risen Christ, on the two outer battlements there are coats of arms.

Traces of a network of paths and a scattered settlement of the valley floor in the central Inn valley are still legible today. The area has been amalgamated since 2009 , with two La Tène settlement findings dating back to 2009. Evidence of Roman roads has not yet been successful as of 2009. [outdated]

On the Kiechlberg ( 1028  m above sea level ), a fall-back knoll on the slope of the Nordkette , a Neolithic to Early Bronze Age settlement was found in archaeological excavations . In addition to metal objects such as knives, daggers, awls, etc., slag was also found that indicate the smelting of ores. In addition, there are remains of a medieval fortification with a mortar around 95 m long and an average of 1.10 m wide mortar wall and an internal development of two long rectangular rooms, which was built in several phases and probably goes back to the 10th century.

The little church was donated by Archduke Ferdinand II in 1589 ; it was the destination of a station path with 15 wayside shrines along today's Haller Straße. In 1590 a chaplain was founded, and in 1723 today's inn was built as a priest's house. The rectangular windowless building has a steep gable roof over a hollow valley , a rectangular Nagelfluh portal and a partially carved west tower. In the barrel-vaulted interior with a continuous profiled cornice there is a Renaissance columned altar from around 1570.
