The Thaurer Zunterkopf ( 1918 m above sea level ) is a mountain in the Karwendel at the eastern end of the north chain , one kilometer west of the Haller Zunterkopf . These two mountains are often both climbed as part of a mountain tour.
West of the Thaurer Zunterkopf is the 2153 m above sea level. A. high Wildangerspitze and in between a saddle, the Thaurer Törl ( 1773 m above sea level ), which forms a transition from the Inntal to the Halltal . The 1874 m above sea level. A. The lowest point in the ridge between the Thaurer and the Haller Zunterkopf is about 300 meters northeast of the Thaurer Zunterkopf.
The Kaisersäule ( 1700 m above sea level ) is located 700 meters southwest of the summit . The stone pyramid commemorates the visit of Emperor Franz I in 1815.
