The Haller Zunterkopf or Hohe Zunterkopf ( 1966  m above sea level ) is the easternmost mountain in the north chain in the Karwendel .

Together with the Thaurer Zunterkopf to the west ( 1918  m above sea level ), the mountain forms the southern boundary of the Hall valley . It falls in the direction of the Inn valley as well as in the direction of the Hall valley with steep, rocky slopes. In the older literature, the name Vorberg can be found for the two pinnacles that lie in front of the Hall valley when viewed from the Inn valley . 950 meters east of the main summit, the mountain forms a shoulder with the Hochmahdkopf ( 1738  m above sea level ), on which there is a cross like on the main summit. The mountain is often climbed together with the Thaurer Zunterkopf either from Törl to the west or from Sankt Magdalena in Halltal ( 1287  m above sea level ). A short point east of the summit requires climbing skills in the 1st degree of the UIAA scale .

At the northern foot of the mountain, on a terrace and forest clearing, is the former monastery of St. Magdalena . The Fluchtsteig runs along the north and east flanks near the valley floor . The path was laid out to give the workers in the salt mine in the Halltal an opportunity to pass the Halltal with less risk of avalanches.
