The interior with a flat dome is decorated with a ceiling fresco depicting the Coronation of Mary by Franz Seelos junior from 1940. The glass windows with scenes from the life of Mary date from 1856. The very large late baroque village church in Auserschmirn was built in 1756/57 according to plans by Franz de Paula Penz . The church, which is covered with a gable roof, has a three-axis south facade, a transversely protruding flat and in the north a recessed choir that just closes. The choir is joined by the square, tapering tower with an octagonal top, round-arched sound windows and a detached hood. A chapel was added to the east in 1853. The interior is decorated with sparse Rococo stucco and ceiling frescoes by Anton Zoller and Josef Anton Zoller from 1757.

The 18th century cemetery surrounds the church and houses a priest memorial from 1853 and a war memorial chapel from 1925.
