The Prima Pala di San Lucano , in connection with the Pale di San Lucano even Prima Pala is at the peak in 2221  m slm high plateau in the Pale di San Lucano, a subgroup of Pala in the Dolomites . It lies entirely in the area of the commune of Taibon Agordino in the Italian province of Belluno , which lies in the Italian region of Veneto .

topography

The predominantly grass-covered plateau of the Prima Pala di San Lucano drops to the east, northeast and southwest in steep rock faces to the Valle Agordina in the east and to the Boral Besausega in the southwest, while in the north there is initially the Le Cime , a crag on the plateau, and further north is the Cime d 'Ambrusogn , a rocky collection of peaks that now finally delimits the plateau. The summit, which is also called Crepa Cima , is located on a grassy rise in the south near the Bivacco Bedin bivouac box ; the rest of the plateau, which consists of grassy areas and sometimes small scree fields , no longer forms any similar elevations.

Ascent

The Prima Pala is one of the easiest peaks to climb in the entire Pale di San Lucano, as from Cencenighe Agordino path no.764 first through the forest to Malga Ambrusogn , then path no.765 over scree to Forcella Besausega and now over meadows and partly scree along the plateau of Prima Pala to the highest point, which leads to Crepa Cima. You can also use more difficult paths to climb, such as the Sentiero della Besausega from Cencenighe Agordino, which leads over the sometimes very steep southern flank of the mountain. In addition, you can climb to the summit via the vertical rock faces in the southwest and east in some rather unknown climbing routes that are not often used.

If you want to combine the mountain tour with other tours in the Pale di San Lucano, the above-mentioned Bivacco Bedin bivouac box on the Crepa Cima is suitable as an overnight option.
